Find Senior Living and Care Options
Making the right care decision for your loved one can be a daunting task filled with stress, tension and pressure. There are so many assisted living, memory care, nursing, and other care options available in Macomb County, Rochester, and Troy, Michigan - the terminology is often unfamiliar. Senior Care Authority® will streamline the process to make it easier for you to make an informed decision.

Our national team of Senior Care Advisors spends countless hours inspecting locations, from mid-to-larger size communities as well as smaller, residential care homes, meeting the staff and reviewing state reports to advise you of any citations that may have been issued against a particular location.

A Senior Care Advisor will meet personally with you to discuss your options, accompany you on visits to locations and ensure that all your questions are answered. The hallmark of our service commitment is that we are by your side every step of the way. We would be happy to put you in contact with an advisor in your area who will provide you with expert advice on any of the assisted living locations listed in our directory of locations.

Get individualized assistance with your loved one
Sometimes our families just need more help with challenging transitions and decision-making. This may include facilitating essential conversations between family members, home care agency or caregiver selection, connections to valuable resources or regular visitations with a loved one providing "peace of mind" to family members when they are unable to visit themselves.

It can be comforting to have someone partner with you who is outside the emotional landscape of the family, doing research, talking to providers, organizing paperwork, or finding those "needle in a haystack" resources. A go-to person you can turn to when things get overwhelming. Whatever the need, we can customize our services for your family or provide you with vetted referral sources.

Tammi Gripton

Senior Care Advisor Tammi Gripton

As a young woman, Tammi was faced with the decision between two careers that spoke to her desire to make a difference, teaching and social work. She chose teaching and had a successful and satisfying fifteen years in education.

Feeling that it was time to change direction but wanting to continue to help families,, she chose to dive into the field of eldercare consulting and placement. Before doing this work professionally, Tammi witnessed the difficulty people face when needing to make care decisions for a loved one. Her compassion, empathy, and practical wisdom enables her to assist families in all stages of care that older adults often require. She recognizes the emotional strain and stress that can come with trying to make the right choices.

I want to make the transition into senior placement as smooth as possible for families and help them find a place that feels like home.

As a Michigan native, Tammi spends much of her time visiting and reviewing the area’s senior facilities. These facilities include assisted living, independent living, memory care, residential care homes, and skilled nursing. She is interested in helping her clients make the best possible decision for their loved ones. She meets one-on-one with families to assess their needs, schedules and joins them in visiting top-rated facilities, assists with paperwork, and follows up with families after a placement is made. If placement is not the immediate goal, she helps her clients access resources in the community to help them find services they need.

I will take the time to thoroughly talk assess the specific needs of seniors and their families, tour different facilities to meet those needs or find the right resources that will help them through the transition, whatever it may be.

Tammi is married with three children, she received her Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State University and her Master's Degree from Saginaw Valley State University. When not working with Seniors, Tammi enjoys boating, traveling, running, reading, and spending time with her family.
